This is my homage to the late great David Bowie, Entitled "Golden Years David Bowie, I did want mine to be same ole image trotted out, I wanted it to be something memorable and something I could be proud of. This was something organic as what I had envisaged was not how it turned out. This was always changing in my mind and evolving. At the beginning I was going to just paint him my fav colour purple, but a guy instinct said NO! many colours for a man who changed like a musical chameleon, so he became many colours and then the gold hexagons which I popped into my head at the last moment (dont ask me, it just happens!!) and I went with it. I also investigated his engramic eyes which I found out was a rare condition that makes the pupils larger and so make the eyes seem like different colours. For this I exaggerated Bowies nd made them metallic green & blue. The title Golden Years refers to the golden years of music & film and ties into the golden hexagons as well as being one of my fave tracks he made which was used in the innovative Baz Lurneham film starring the late Heath Ledger A Knights Tale, I hope you like what I have done for Legend ( a title which is used very liberally these days!). David Bowie was born in South London's Brixton neighborhood on January 8, 1947. His first hit was the song "Space Oddity" in 1969. The original pop chameleon, Bowie became a fantastical sci-fi character for his breakout Ziggy Stardust album. He later co-wrote "Fame" with Carlos Alomar
