This work was created in the winter of 2017, after a wild ski downhill in the Swiss mountains. Extreme cold in the Alps is usually caused by high cold air from the polar region.
The cold wind on my face has inspired me to this picture. I painted the work with acrylic paints and oil crayons on a 80 x 150 cm canvas. It is mainly supported by surfaces and lines. It is a very bright picture with a lot of white. The lines seem to be like writings in front of and/or behind the surfaces. The cold wind in my face has inspired me to this picture. I painted the work with acrylics and oil pastels on a 80 x 150 cm canvas. It is mainly supported by surfaces and lines. It is a very bright picture with a lot of white. The lines look like fonts in front of and / or behind the surfaces. You can look through the work, the colors and surfaces flow past you, like the pine trees rush by on a ski slope.
The composition is generous and harmonious. The colors are rather muted, cool.
