We devote ourselves to buildings beyond the former use and capture the beauty in decay. Nothing is staged by us, we photograph the places as we find them and only use the light prevailing at the time of our stay there.
Anna Kueffner was born 1982 in Neuwied am Rhein. After graduating from school and from university she started with photography in her sparetime. Together with her husband she works in her own studio in Sinzig, Germany.
Roman Kueffner was born 1982 in Leverkusen. After graduating from school Küffner studied in Düsseldorf. While studying he started to spent time on photography. Together with his wife he works in his own studio in Sinzig, Germany.
Both artists founded their project “Blackbird Street” in 2012. The focus of their work lies on documentary photography of abandoned and lost places. The artists work in ruins and lost places that have been enriced the everyday life all over the world.
