Description

Sampled Space is a project that was shown for the first time at Four Corners Gallery in London in 2013, which
stems from the artists involvement as a sound system DJ from 1995 onwards.
!e intention of the project is to explore the notion of sampling in relation to city space. !e work explores
sampling technology and the techniques of the artists that pioneered the cutting and looping of sound (and the
urban spaces where this unfolded).
!is piece is also based on population density, in this case reflecting on the buzz and background noise of these
spaces, music reverberating between buildings and overheard voices - sound waves, structures and proximity.
