  • Description

This work is part of a series of photographs influenced by Ed Regis book 'Great Mambo Chicken And The Transhuman Condition'. Series #1 examines the relationship between contemporary medicine and science fiction imagery - the rise of new technologies, prosthetic medicine and genetic engineering are questioning traditional discourses about the relationship between the body and nature. The boundaries between the 'Natural' body and the 'Artificial' machine have merged. Prosthetics have become deeply complex and our organic bodies are now able to incorporate machines in what would once have been science fiction scenarios - Cyborg, the half human half machine are now a living experience with modern medical technology.
