A response to the impact of climate change on the Tibetan Plateau glacier. The glaciers are retreating rapidly, all the glaciers in the Himalayan plateau could be gone in as little as twenty years. Also sand dredging in the Yangtze River is happening to build cities such as Shanghai destroying the landscape and putting animal species on the brink of extinction. This is a dystopian view of the future, constructions colliding with the natural environment and the landscape is in flux due to natural and manmade disasters. I have layered up glazes of oilpaint and I have used multiple drawings of elements of fragmented architecture over the top of these using a range of mixed media to create a visually stimulating painting full of movement and energy.
