Description

The 2016 Leaf series is inspired from the South East of England woodlands in the autumn. Having collected various leaves, Borowik uses them with his handcrafted machine and newly created code to compose and draw back the leaves by automating the drawing of lines at various angle in a crosshatching process, in the same way as traditional etching.

This series is so far the most intricate figurative work made with Borowik's machines, while keeping apparent the fact that the drawing is made by a machine.
