DAISY: I never knew you were such a realist-I thought you were more poetic. Where's your imagination? There are many sides to reality. Choose the one that's best for you. Escape into the world of imagination.

I've been working with Bestiaries for about two years. Reading on old notes I found out that in Middle Age, these creatures were all seen as « real » because even if nobody had the "prove" they exist, they were in the book... so they were 'real'.
That made me think about our time, where we all expect for accurate facts, but we can easily believe what we see on videos posted on Youtube or Facebook without any certificate of true. Then, I tell myself that finally we are not that far from Middle age.
I've tried my chance in a very traditional medium (drawing) with cutting on flowery wallpapers: I create creatures that come out of our walls. I also create a series of orchidscreatures, hybrid flowers with middle-age animals. Could I make that those creatures exist for the science? Surely not, but I found this parallel world somehow necessary and important.
There are two elements that come recurrently on my work, one of them is the physical properties of paper and the other is time consuming dainty details. Both are linked by my true concern, the figurative drawing.
