Pia Kintrup is an emerging young artist from Germany. She studied photography and is highly interested in still life, materiality and surface character. Transformational processes, value and photographic steps of transition are very important for her work.
Pia Kintrup was born in 1988 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. She studied photography between 2008 and 2017 at the Folkwang University of Arts in Germany. Pia Kintrup graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts. Her graduation project was called horror vacui. In 2013 she received the Marianne Ingenwerth Scholarship of Excellence for her previous photographic works. Between 2013 and 2017 she studied Master of Photography Studies and Practice at Folkwang University of Arts and graduated there in September 2017 with a Master of Arts. Her graduation project was a compendium of 88 photographies, called maps. During the time of 2012 and 2018, she has participated in several smaller exhibitions.
