I am driven to explore people and their stories, to get a better understanding of live. I love to find places, their history or actual moods, to develope the unseen, to unfold hidden secrets. I like to show, play and work with colours, sometimes dig them out of nowhere and let them shine. Enjoy!
I started serious photographing in 1979, when New Wave, Punk and electronic music swaped all over the place. I took pictures for some of the most exciting music groups in the music scene in Cologne/Germany to that time as a self employed. It seems as if my Nikon F3 and my right hand were one. As analog photographing, and Polaroid wanted to get handled different to digital shots today, I loved to manipulate the films as well as the prints in several ways. By using different chemicals, temperatures and physical treatmants, I got wonderful and strange results.
Economic reasons and family life needed more attention and I started working in different areas, but ever let my passion alone. I took and worked with photographs all my life since then.
All got serious again, when I got in touch with Annette Schreiber, professional photographer and wonderful artist. She pushed me out of the corner to show my works to the public. As a result I got invited to exhibit at an Art Festival in Lisbon, will get a feature in an art photo magazine and as it looks like, will be presenting my works frequently in Europe as some first steps.
