One sunny day in February 2018. I was on my way to the University and loved the midday sun. On my way I passed some historic buildings. The canopy of the "Haus der Geschichte" in Darmstadt/Germany, which is a museum of history got this wonderful crafted and designed columns and stucco details. When I followed the building and followed the columns up towards the light, it reminds me to the ancient Greek legend of Atlas.
Atlas banished, punished and betrayed by Zeus, the new king of gods and his mate Herakles. As Atlas was one son of the lost generation of Titans, he was fined to carry the sky, what he never gave up. The columns seem to support him by doing this work day in night out.
I decided to celebrate that legend, the work of Atlas and the imposing architecture with that praising picture. Even the backlit was bright from above, I managed to get as much as details as possible. Haven't you done it too?
