  • Description

Undoubtedly, the midday heat in the summer is there. But it is not, as many believe, the hottest time of the day. The biggest heat on a hot summer day does not arrive until the afternoon. HOT SUMMER is an abstract work that empathises the hottest time of the day. The sun is the bearer of light and heat. Although the source of heat is not shown in the painting, it is present. If you dive into the picture, memories come up on these hot afternoons, where every breeze is welcome.
I painted the work on a 120 x 100 cm canvas with acrylic paints and oil rims. It is mainly supported by surfaces, colors and lines that harmonize with each other. Depending on the application of paint, the impression of transparency may arise. This allows the simultaneous perception of different spatial positions.
The two dimensions appear three-dimensional through the surfaces, lines, light and darkness. There is a window in the middle of the painting, through which the sunlight shines through and heat the environment up.
It was important for me to bring the positive feeling of a hot day to the canvas. The composition is balanced and stable, everything is in balance.
